Pacific Rim Objective Measurement Symposium (PROMS)


PROMS (Pacific Rim Objective Measurement Symposium) is an annual non-governmental professional meeting established to promote objective measurement and contribute to the research and development of Rasch measurement in the Pacific Rim. PROMS is an annual symposium aiming to provide a forum for the sharing of new knowledge with the international community. Rasch measurement workshops are usually attached to PROMS meetings. Previous PROMS Conferences have been held in Malaysia (2005), Hong Kong (2006), and Taiwan (2007). PROMS 2008 will be held at Ochanomizu Univeristy, Tokyo from August 1-3, with workshops scheduled on July 31.

PROMS 2008 Tokyo will be held August 1 to 3 at Ochanomizu University, Tokyo. Software workshops will be held on July 31st. We are no longer accepting proposals. All presenters are encouraged to register for the conference and pay the registration fee by credit card no later than July 15th. Click on the links below for Quick help.

If you have not paid your conference fee, please click registration and follow the instructions to pay by credit card. Please pay the registration fee when you register. From this web site, each PROMS 2008 participant can create a user account, submit presentation proposals for peer review, volunteer to be a reviewer, manage the proposal review process online, and pay all registration fees through the PROMS 2008 Tokyo PayPal Account. Please note that creating a user account is not the same as registering for the conference. Creating a user account, submitting a proposal, and registering for the conference are separate processes. To register for the PROMS 2008 Tokyo conference, click "LOG IN" in the red naviagation bar. Create a user account. Click the "current conference," and PROMS 2008 Tokyo. Click "registration" and proceed through the process.

Be prepared to pay the conference fees by credit card when you register. It is possible to complete the registration without paying, but you cannot navigate back to the PayPal link later.
